Oh my! That is a lot of emails! I will be happy to help you figure out what happened and I do apologize!
My recommendation would be to delete the account from your device and reset it up. You can do this my accessing Settings > Mail > Accounts. From this point you can select the email account you are using and tap Delete Account.
After this has been deleted, you can reset it back up! Check out this Apple support article Set up an email account on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch for specific instructions.
You can also take advantage of our AT&T Troubleshoot & Resolve tool! After selecting your make and model, there will be an option for Email under Select a Service-Related Issue.
