Email on Iphone 7

I have a bellsouth.net e-mail. I can't get it to take my password. I changed it and tried again. It won't take it. Has anyone else had this problem? I can get my e-mails on my laptop.

Hello @crewser3,

We can definitely assist you with setting up the email on your iPhone.

Please be sure that you're following the correct steps at this link to Add an email account to your iPhone.

If you're still having issues after entering your password, you may be able to scroll down further on the article at the previously provided link, and follow the steps to set up your email account manually, as opposed to automatically.

Hope this helps!

I'm not adding an account. It's an existing account, but it suddenly asked me to enter my password. But it wouldn't take it. I changed my password and then tried it. The password works on my laptop, but it won't take it on my Iphone. I even looked up my host name and port and tried to change it, but nothing works. This has been going on for a couple of weeks.

Thanks for the clarification, @crewser3.

Are you using the Apple Mail, or Outlook 2010, 2013, 2016, 2019 mobile mail apps for iPhone?

We’re enhancing email security so you’ll have to use either OAuth or a secure mail key to get your email through an app. Since you're checking mail on across several devices, you’ll have to check each email app you use on every device.

For example, you may use Outlook Mail on a laptop, Gmail on a smartphone, and Apple Mail on a tablet. Each device must use either an OAuth app or your secure mail key.

Check out OAuth or secure mail key for email apps for more information, and let us know if we can provide additional support. Thank you!
