Customer Support for iPhone 6S release?

I have questions about the release of the new iPhone and my account that I need answered before pre-orders start however it seems any form of customer service closed at 10 pm local time? So who should I be talking to/where can I get answers. It looks like some AT&T employees are responding on Twitter but it would be really helpful to talk to a rep in real time, preferably on the phone but even if it were just live chaat. Anyone know if they'll be opening back up sometime before pre-orders start?

If past launches are any indicator, phone supoort will be tough to reach for the next week or two.  It's better to call early in the morning, and it would probably be best to visit an AT&T corporate store if you're seeking individualized attention.

Chat is a poor choice for account issues.

Yeah, as I have realized 😕 I was able to get chat support and it is absolutely awful. The one possibly helpful thing I have gotten is that phone support is supposed to be open 24/7 "tomorrow" for the release. I asked if that means starting aat 12:01PST and can't get a confirmation.

Despite every means of checking indicating that I'm eligible for the 2 year upgrade, I'm now being told I'll be charged an early termination fee if I do go through with that. I have never been charged an ETF before for an upgrade... they are insisting that it is the early upgrade even though if I go through the order process on any other phone right now it's the full $450 discount. I'm just not understanding.

If you're on (completed) a two-year agreement and confirmed you're eligible for an upgrade, you will not be charged an ETF.

When you order on the AT&T website, you will be presented the option for a two-year agreement.  Make sure you find it and select it.  That will get you the discounted price.
