Cannot send group text messages to a “green” text group, but can somehow receive... not a phone setting issue

When I attempt to send text messages in a group that is “green” (due to a non-iPhone user) the messages will come back “Not Delivered”. However, I can still receive/see all messages that other people send to the group. This is a recent problem, never had this issue before

 

i have verified all phone settings are correct and attempted a Network Setting Reset and turn off/on... 

 

does anyone have any other solutions?

Let's look into what could be behind your inability to send regular text messages in a group chat. We want to know more about your experience.

  • Are you able to successfully send and receive text messages to a single contact? If not, it's likely a network issue.
  • If you haven't already try clearing your messages app. Un-deleted messages, photos, and videos can congest the app and clearing it is required in order for the app to function effectively.
  • Visit your favorite app store and check whether there is a recently released version of your messages app.

Also, use our Device Support center to make sure your device is updated with the latest software. After selecting your make and model simply select System followed by System version. If an update is due, install as instructed.

Thank you for the response.

 

1) I am able to send single messages to those individuals using regular messages (green)/non-iMessage 

 

2) additionally, I cleared out old cache messages and videos

 

3) according to my phone my system is operating on the most current version and “messages” Has no updates.

 

The weirdest part is that this is a new issue and never had this problem before. Any other recommendations? Thank you for the help
