Can I add an iPod touch to my plan?

I have the unlimited plan for my and my husband's phones. My son now wants his own phone so that he can access data while we drive places, eat at restaurants, etc. I'm not ready to give him an actual phone, but think a touch might be ideal. Can I add it onto our existing data plan somehow? Is there another option I should consider?

No, you can not add it to your plan because an iPod Touch does not have any cellular capabilities, it is WiFi only. If you have the unlimited plus plan, you can let him use data by turning on your phone’s hotspot if no other WiFi is available.
