Can already unlocked phone becomes locked when erased or factory reset
My phone was just unlocked. Wish to erase some information on it. So I am contemplating a factory reset.

Your phone will stay unlocked. Erasing or setting back to factory settings won’t change that.

You posted in "Apple", as in iPhone... IPhones do not have or use an unlock code.

Hi Feliciajacops, we want to help unlock your phone!
What our ACE stated is true, iPhones do not require an unlock code all you have to do is turn off the device, insert a non-AT&T SIM Card and power back on the device. Check out our AT&T Device Unlock Instructions for every device make.
If you do not have an iPhone, we recommend checking your spam/junk folder for an email from us with the unlock code. You can also check your text messages for the code. If this doesn't help, no worries. Reach back out to us with the device make & model, and we'll pull you in private and help unlock your device on our end.
