Caller ID disabled when calling others but shows “on” in settings

Apple iPhone 6S, iOS 11.0.02

Whenever I call others my number shows up as unknown caller ID. I already restarted my phone, reset the carrier settings, and turned the button on and off again on the “show my caller ID” tab. After restarting the phone I still show up as an unknown caller.

things I have tried:

-my carrier settings are up-to-date

-tried resetting carrier settings, turned the device off and back on

-restarted the device

things that I have not done:

-update to latest iOS

Hello @Thematrixisreal,

We appreciate your time and for posting on the Forums! I can understand how not having the caller ID show up properly is very inconveniencing. I can help you with this!

We do have a device support article that can assist with Caller ID issues. If you can please visit our Device Support and select your phone’s make and model. Then select Calling > Caller ID. Once here, make sure it is set to “Show ID”.

The above method will set the caller ID to show what we have setup in our system for you. You can change the caller ID currently setup by clicking here and following the instructions.

Please let us know if you need any additional assistance on this issue! Have a fantastic rest of your day.
