BYOD

Is there still a waiting period for new customers. The only reason i switched from Verizon to AT&T was the Iphone deal is way better. and the service is top notch. I hope i didnt switch over just to have to wait and then the promo expires.

If all hope fails I’m gonna go directly through Apple financing and just swap the esims

Yes, there is. Normally 60 days before you can upgrade on an installment plan. You should have ordered the phone when you switched.

The phone is paid off I’ve talked to multiple reps and they have said that the only reason I can’t upgrade is because it hasn’t been 48 hrs. I just wanna make sure I didn’t screw myself. No one said anything about it. I might just add a line and then cancel the other one. Because the sole reason was to get that amazing trade offer

Hi @ryanward17, we're happy to help you.

Since you are a new customer to AT&T your line needs to be active with AT&T for 60 days post which you will be able to upgrade the device.

Thank you for choosing AT&T

If you add a line and cancel a line it will void the deal. Please go to AT&T sales page and read how these promotions work. There is a 90-day exclusion to prevent false churn.

Why are they telling me it is possible. Just wait 48 hours there has to be an exception because I feel deceived and lied to

Also my account states my line is ready to upgrade.

I'm not sure where they're getting 48 hours.  🤷🏼‍♀️

Typically if you upgrade when you switch it goes smoothly. But if you switched before pre-order, obviously that's not possible.

I've heard of people blocked from upgrading for 90 days. It may all rely on your credit.

It wouldn’t let me switch and pre order same time.
