@Constructive

Pretty sure that’s not true.  My iPhone is currently connected to my Apple Watch and my house phone base station.  Also have connected to my AirPods, while also being connected to my watch and house phone.  Also, in the car, I’m connected to the car audio system, while the watch still works.

Clearly, the millions of people who have Apple Watchs aren’t unable to connect to anything else.

OP, first is Bluetooth turned on?  Also, have you tried re-pairing your Bluetooth devices?  If nothing works, take the phone to Apple.  AT&T can’t do any repair work on the phone.

Hello, @kvanderklis. Thanks for reaching out to us about pairing your iPhone 13 to multiple devices. We can help.

We have some very helpful information on Bluetooth pairing specific to your iPhone 13. Fortunately it seems, according to Apple, that you can connect a keyboard and a pair of headphones to your iPhone at the same time, allowing you to use two Bluetooth devices at the same time. Both could be connected at the same time, but the iPhone would only output Bluetooth audio to one pair of headphones at one time.

Let us know if this information helps! If you have any questions or concerns, please reach back out to us.

@Constructive  It can only stream audio to one device at a time.  When you wife starts the car, it’s likely redirecting the audio stream to the car audio.  In any case, that’s not the same as a watch, and a phone can be connected to multiple devices.  Also, iPhones since iPhone 8 have the same version, Bluetooth 5.0.  While Bluetooth 5.0 can connect to multiple devices, it can only actively transfer data between two devices at once.  The latest BT version can transfer to multiple devices, but unfortunately Apple still plods along with the earlier version.
