Blocking emails as texts

How do I block an email coming as a text to my cell phone?

I tried this 3 days ago and today received a another email spam text. I spoke with the ATT technical customer service rep and asked him to search article 446389. He found it, was able to understand it and allegedly disabled email as SMS and MMS, yet today I received a spam email text from an email ending in “.us” ...not sure what to do as this is clearly not working. There has to be a way to prevent this. Can some from ATT please respond with a solution  other than your apps that aren’t working to block this?

To that ATT provided answer that says “solved”. This is not solved. This is not a solution as these companies generate a new email with every text making it impossible to preemptively block them

hi,
so I will say yes and no. calling AT&T/messaging them through IM was not as
smooth as the previous person had suggested. I was on with the rep for well
over an hour and it ended with me talking with a supervisor because the
previous reps couldn't apply the email block. the supervisor said he was
able to block it. this block seems to have caused issues with me receiving
messages from unknown numbers in general, which has been a mild
inconvenience. (to fix this AT&T rep told me to disable "Advanced
Messaging" which did, in fact, solve that issue.)

so yes, if say calling or IMing with AT&T and supplying them with the
article # will solve emails sent via text/MMS, but the process can be
tedious. AT&T needs to create a better and easier fix for this.

Welp I seem to have gotten a good technical support team member as I haven’t gotten a text email spam in 3 days since he put the changes in place (was averaging 5+ / day) so this really does work!   I was on the verge of canceling ATT and getting a new number with Verizon but now the problem seems to be taken care of now.

I am having the same problem! Both my husband and I keep receiving text messages from randomly generated emails (so it's useless to forward them to 7726). By trying to google a solution, I found that this has been an issue for different carriers for many years now. Yet, there are no successful or simple solutions to this problem. Every forum I find has nothing that has worked for us so far. Now I'm more curious about how this is even possible and how we are being targeted. A few months ago we had zero issues with emails texting and suddenly, it's multiple ones a day.

This is the issue that’s constantly happening with my iPhone. Main sender is the gmail (that’s not the same each time) account with the same attached (209) numbers. I keep having to block the gamil account. The weird thing is that the message is filtered under Contacts & SMS. How can I stop this from happening in the future?

Its 2021 and still an issue.  After the 3rd call to tech support, I discovered the route needed to fix this once and for all.  When you call in, make sure you ask for "Advanced Technical Support".  Just say to stop all emails coming in to the phones text message in the "Email Gateway" like you see in a couple other posts but you don't need to spend the time describing the article since Advanced Technical Support knows where it's located.   I'm writing this to save everyone the headaches like I had.   Called tech support 2 other times and each one said it was disabled.   Advanced support confirmed it was not disabled.  Good luck.
