Bad Cell Signal in Buckeye, AZ

I’ve been living in Buckeye, AZ 85326 for about 3 years now and the entire time I have lived here, I haven’t been able to get any cell signal from my driveway or even a 2 mile radius of my home. It’s super frustrating because I can’t even call anyone or load up directions unless I do so while still connected to my wife. Just wondering if I am the only one, is so why? And if there is any other reason why the signal here is so garbage, is there a fix coming soon? With it be one of the fastest growing cities in the country with nonstop building and construction, I would have thought the cell towers coverage would have improved or at least thrown up another tower nearby. I might just have to switch carriers at this point because I have one of the newest phones and with it now running 5G I would have thought it to improve but still not. Help!!!!

If you’ve been dealing with a weak signal for three years, it’s unlikely to get better anytime soon.  Unless someone decides to build a new cell tower near you and AT&T leases space on it to add new antennas, which may take years, your choices are pretty much limited to live with it and use WiFi calling, or move to a different cell provider.

Just wondering what the best provider would be because At&t shows it covers 100% of buckeye which is obviously a lie so the trust issues ensue.

Ask your neighbors, if any of them have a different cell provider.

We'll be happy to assist you with your service concerns, @arends2000.

As the ACE mentioned correctly,"If you’ve been dealing with a weak signal for three years, it’s unlikely to get better anytime soon.  Unless someone decides to build a new cell tower near you and AT&T leases space on it to add new antennas, which may take years, your choices are pretty much limited to live with it and use Wi-Fi calling, or move to a different cell provider".

To begin, we suggest resetting your network settings. This will refresh your device's connection to the network and can often resolve many reception issues. You can do this by going to Settings > General > Reset > Reset network settings

This forum thread on dropped calls and low signal has additional suggestions that may be useful to you.

If the above isn't effective for you, we'll need a bit more context.

  • What phone do you have? Is the software up to date? With this information, we can provide more specific guidance with troubleshooting.
  • Is this happening with all of the phones on your plan?

We look forward to your response. Thanks for reaching out to our AT&T Community.

Same problem here, but I'm in Raleigh, NC.  Just bought an iPhone 14 Pro Max from AT&T and upgraded plan to Unlimited.  I only get 1 signal bar, if that!  Many times, the phone goes into "SOS Mode" only.  I've tried all of AT&T's suggestions, to no avail.  Unfortunately, I'm on my son's plan and don't have the option of changing to a different carrier at this point.
