Background file using up memory

I can’t free up enough space on my iPhone 6s. What I delete gets added to a glitch file that an ATT tech found. It’s now 6GB. Now AT&T says they can’t access the phone due to privacy issues to delete that file. Any suggestions?

I changed my post to clarify it's an iPhone 6s. Thank you.

When you delete things from an iPhone, I’m not aware that they actually stay on the phone, so I’m suspicious of this “glitch file”.  Curious how a AT&T tech would find that since they don’t work on iPhones.  In any case, if the phone isn’t deleting things properly, it’s something you have to take up with Apple.
