AT&T won’t unlock my new (fully paid) iPhone XS

Bought iPhone XS, paid in full within two days. Now AT&T won’t unlock it and says service hasn’t been active for at least 60 days - what?? We buy device and we pay for it, why do we have to stay with AT&T forcefully (even though I’m not switching carrier)?? I need to travel outside the country and would like to be able to use other carrier’s SIM card.

 

anybody has suggestions to resolve my problem?

Rules are right there on the unlock.page.  you started new swrvice right.

If you wanted an unlocked iPhone, you should have bought the sim free version direct from Apple.

you are subject to carrier unlock policy 

14 days until you can’t return the phone, and 60 days for new accounts
