Yes, an ATT locked phone will work fine on Cricket. The opposite is not true, a Cricket locked phone must be unlocked to work on ATT.

I doubt AT&T will sell you a phone without an AT&T plan.

What he ☝️said. Cricket sells iPhone 14’s, why not buy from them? Or Apple?

How are you intending to buy these phones?  Even if you pay full price for them, they will come with an AT&T SIM and phone plan.  How do you expect to move them over to a Cricket SIM and phone plan?  You’ll have to port the phone number.

We understand you're wanting to purchase a couple of devices to use with your service provider, @LilTidePod. We can help shed some light on things for you.

As @sandblaster mentioned, an AT&T device does not need to be unlocked to accept a Cricket SIM and work on the Cricket network. Even with that being the case, you will need to start a new wireless account or add a line to purchase the device from us, as @dwill05 mentioned.

We recommend following the advice of @sandblaster and @Constructive if you'd like to purchase these devices for use on the Cricket network. You can visit an Apple store and purchase an unlocked version of the device at full retail price.

Thanks for visiting our AT&T Community. We hope this helps!
