I bought the iPhone X from a guy on Facebook,he showedme the receipt that he have paid full price for the iPhone, so it won't be locked by any carrier. Last month I gave this phone to my mom in order to use overseas. We bought a new SIM card , sticked it in and found out its locked by aTT wireless . Att denied unlock my phone and saying my device is not active for 6 months. My mom wont be back for a while, and i lost the receipt of this phone . Is there anyway I can get it unlocked ? Kindly help .

Hello @Jessica1993,
Thank you so much for reaching out to us in the Community Forums regarding the device unlock issue. I am sorry to see it has been denied due not being active for 6 months. I would be more than happy to help you with this!
All devices purchased from AT&T will be locked to the network. After a phone has been paid off, it may be eligible for unlock if all Eligibility Requirements are met. AT&T is not able to override these requirements; however, we can assist with working towards meeting each one.
I see you have sent a private message and I will be following up with a message in your Forum’s inbox. Please keep an eye out!
Have a wonderful day!
