Are new batteries placed in the new iPhone 6s

Paid and had my iPhone 6s battery replaced and it worked great. Three weeks later I had water damage. So I used my insurance and got a new iPhone 6s. This thing runs out of battery in a few hours with minimal use. Are the new phones sold with the newer batteries or the older scamming batteries?

Good day @M80smith,

Thank you very much for bringing this to my attention.  I certainly understand the importance of receiving a good, working device.  I’d like the opportunity to assist you today.

Please have a look at this link here; this will direct you to Asurion. They handle insurance replacements.  If eligible, they will send you the same make and model.  Just simply send that one back to them.

Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.  Have a wonderful day!

That replacement phone is likely a refubished phone, you may or may not have a new battery in the refurbished phone. Since it's dying, I'd say no.

I'd complain you got a model with a defective battery and make your insurance replace it. Keep all receipts and keep track of everything.
