I have never setup iCloud or Cloud service on any of my devices and never will. Working in the IT field I can honestly say putting your info out there when even Microsoft and the Government get hacked is probably the stupidest thing you could possibly do. No amount of "guarantee" is worth sacrificing your privacy.

THIS is why I don't use cloud systems at all.  Anyone that thinks only Celebrity cloud accounts are getting hacked is deluding themselves.

Hello Community members!  Here is some additional information about this type of issue you might find useful.

Possible resolution:  This affected the customers who jail broke their device and AT&T or Apple are not responsible for security breach in jail broken devices.
Issues Caused by Unauthorized Modifications to iPhone

1. Compromised Security: These modifications may introduce security compromises that could allow hackers to steal personal information, damage the device, attack the wireless network, or introduce malware or viruses.

• In addition, unauthorized modification of iPhone iOS is a violation of Apple's iPhone end-user license agreement (EULA).

I had my yahoo account hacked 2 years ago and put 2 step verification of the account.  This prevents my yahoo account from being accessed on a new device without a one time code, sent to my phone.

An attempt to access my google a iTunes account was blocked, but it encouraged me to put the same kind of protection on those accounts.

Login to your icloud/iTunes account to add similar notification or verification for your Apple account.
