ActiveArmor Network warning

on my ActiveArmor dashboard, the network icon has a red warning indicating VPN threat detected. however, on the network details page everything is showing green. How do I remove this morning or how do I view what's a threat is?

Great question, JLinTampa. Let's look into what you can do to stop that VPN threat detection and if it's possible to view what a threat is when you're using AT&T ActiveArmor.

What's happening is AT&T ActiveArmor detected an insecure Wi-Fi connection or a Wi-Fi connection that is not using a high level of encryption.

To stop that warning from appearing you will need to temporarily turn off any other VPN-type apps.

  • In Setting > Type VPN in universal search bar > VPN & Device Management > Disconnect.

The goal is to have AT&T ActiveArmor mobile security to serve as the VPN to protect the network connections whether it be Wi-Fi or browsing. For more details about this check out AT&T ActiveArmor Mobile Security Advanced at Get details on the AT&T ActiveArmor Mobile Security app.

Also, the AT&T ActiveArmor mobile security's extension uses a VPN service to provide Safe Browsing protection. You may continue to receive this message until you connect to a VPN whether it be ours or a personal one.

Try this and let us know how it goes. If you still need assistance then we will need to take a closer look into your experience.
