will updating factory unlocked at&t M8 lock the device?

Hi there, i bought a factory unlocked at&t m8 and i'm using it abroad ( not in the us ) i want to update it using RUU but i'm afraid that ruu will lock my device's sim, can anyone here answer my question? thanks
