When will the Galaxy S5 32GB be available?
It's a pretty simple question, when will AT&T offer the Galaxy S5 32GB? I know last year the Galaxy S4 32GB came out about 17-20 days after the Galaxy S4 16GB launched, but last year the price for a 32GB Galaxy S4 was announced and so far this year nothing.
For those who feel 16GB is sufficient, that's great. For those who feel having a 128GB microSD card slot is sufficient, also great. But what you cannot do is move app/app data to the microSD card so for those who want and in fact must have a 32GB device (actually about 23-25GB of usable space compared to 10.7GB of usable space) it's a necessity.
Can anyone shed some light on this?

storage size is determand by the manufacture its all on samsung. Att has a choice to offer both if there made. Look at the m8 and g3. The g3 was made in 16gb but did not come to the states. It also had 2 gig of ram instead of 3gig. Now the m8 was 32 across the board. My g3 has 160gb of storage only reason being is I got a 128gig micro sd for 40 bucks

No reason to beg for anything, these days. Fortunately, LG hit a home run with its G3. Last review I read called it the smartphone of the year. I wanted the G5 in 32GB. Samsung support was playing games with their vague, annoying answers, and I'm so happy to ditch Samsung.
The LG G3 has turned out to be the best smartphone I've ever used -- better than my new Galaxy Note 3. It's nearly the same size, but feels much smaller, and it fits in the hands better. Only gripes are that that the display requires more juice and I prefer volume rockers on the side instead of the back. The S5 is waterproof. Those points aside, I'm happy I got the G3.
I was stuck on Samsung, thinking that nobody could touch then when it comes to their software. Not true at all. LG put a lot of time and effort into their products, and the G3 makes no compromises. So for anyone sitting on the fence, I'd recommend you go to your local AT&T store and check them out. The irony is that the 32GB LG is at the same pricepoint as the S5 16GB, so it's the deal of the century IMO.
Consumers have a choice
If Samsung didn't play these games they wouldn't have lost a customer. Now LG has a new fan.

You are sadly mistaken and must not know how the US smartphone industry works. The carriers dictate the specs not the mfg, other than apple you do not see multiple storage capacites available for different phones even when its clear (Samsung) the mfg makes them available. Simply put the carrier places the order and they sell the phones, not the OEM.

that not true these days. Look at the G3 it was launch with the same specs accross all us and EU carriers.
The samething with the M8 it was the same accross all carriers worldwide.
Samsung chose to release the s5 with 16gig of ram to save money period. They knew us users would buy whatever they put our.
Look at the note 3 its was the same accross all carriers.
The days of the carriers telling the OEM's what to do is over/ and part of that is due to apple.

Very little of total software can be stored/used from an SD card. I believe the S5 sales would have been dramatically better if they had released a 32 and/or 64GB variant of this device. Otherwise, the functionality of this phone is great. I, for one, did not purchase solely due to the limited on-board memory.

The low sales figures are directly attributable, I believe, to Samsung being arrogant and non-responsive to the inquiry and demand of their high-end purchasers. The Galaxy Alpha looks like a dog of a device, ostensibly to compete with the iPhone 6. Competition for market dollars is heavy and Samsung seems to be heading down the same path as RIM did--assuming that their dominant market share is secure. I, for one, am looking at least a year ahead--nothing earth shaking out there that justifies the high pricing. LG is coming along nicely as direct head-to-head competition with Samsung. I'm watching them closely.

Raptor is wrong--the US carriers do not mandate all of the specs on the phones they offer. Period.
