Voicemail service not available

Phone:  HTC A9

 

When accessing voicemail I get the "Service Not Available" message.  It has been this way for the last 5 days ...

This is the first time this has happened in the last 4 years.

We are in S.C. and my husband has 704 area code (VM) and has "no issues" with voicemail. I have area code beginning with 980 and can not access voicemail :(.

I have had the same problem for several weeks: I get the the "Service Not Available" message. My voicemail was working fine previously.

 

I have tried all the troubleshooting advice on the AT&T website and I spoke with an AT&T Tech. No solution could be found. The Tech thought it might be a firmware problem with Samsung.

 

This morning I called the AT&T Wireless Voicemail Access Number (+19802548961) from my home phone (PhonePower VOIP). The automated system asked me for my box number (10 digit cell number) which it accepted. The it asked me for my passcode, which it accepted and then it gave me the "Service Not Available" message. Considering it accepted my "box number", and the system behaves the same whether I'm calling from my cell or calling from my home VOIP, indicates to me the this is solely an AT&T problem with their voicemail system. My questions are: Is +19802548961 the correct number to access my voicemail? Is there another voicemail access number that may be working? Is there a way to access voicemail online? If not: Why? I can do that with my home PhonePower Voip account.

Since Wednesday last week (10-2-2019), I can not access my voice mail.  Called customer twice.  The first time the representative told me that the system is being upgraded and I should I it back on Thursday (10-3-3019).  On Friday, it still did not work for me, and I called again.  The representative told me the same thing about upgrade, but told me there is no timeline for this.  Five days later (10-7-2019), I still can not access my voice mail.  What should I do?

I switched from an IPhone to Samsung because of issues. Now I'll have to switch from AT&T to Verizon. AT&T your service is wack!

From what I understand all of western NC is th same way. Voicemail is one of our most important services and ahould have been fixed by now. This is bull crap. Our phone bills should be half off or better yet lets all change phone companies. I hear Verizon is working fine. I'm more than mad about this problem. I have a small HVAC buisiness and no voicemail.😡
