Voicemail service not available
Phone: HTC A9
When accessing voicemail I get the "Service Not Available" message. It has been this way for the last 5 days ...
This is the first time this has happened in the last 4 years.

Mine just went down yesterday and I'm in Colorado. No solutions? Has Visual Voicemail solved the issue?

My voicemail is also not available. I have a Samsung phone with an AT&T chip but with connections to Straight Talk, the Walmart and Tracfone venture. After several customer service calls which did nothing I was told that the ATT&T towers were down. If you look at the website downdetector.com you will see that this is nation wide but especially on the East coast. I am in Arizona.

I lost voicemail for 10 days and it finally has come back. So frustrating and lost business no doubt. No help when each service call placed, just lots of apologies. I am so disappointed in AT&T and have been a customer for over 20 years. Time to change carriers who actually can take care of problems in a timely fashion.

What needs to be done is for AT&T to stop voice mail from excepting voice mails or have a recording for the people leaving a voicemail that the system is not working and to call back.... Seems simple, at least this would stop missed voice mails.

FWIW, my voicemail service came back online yesterday. Hope that's true for others here, soon if not already.

Only some of my voicemails have come back. Missing A MAJORITY of them! Some from years ago that I had saved on there. Did anyone else only get a small portion of them back??? Do they eventually all appear?
I have an iPhone.

This is incredibly distressing and is causing a major inconvenience at the moment. This began happening to me two days ago and I just got off the phone with the reps who couldn't fix it and blame it on a network wide outage/issue. I leave for work in 2 days (Monday, October 21) for 2 weeks and I need my voicemail while I'm gone as I'll be traveling internationally and won't get those messages until I return, and there are no options for me to deal with this. All they could do was apologize and open a support ticket. Would absolutely LOVE some compensation for this major inconvenience. It wouldn't be that big of a deal if I was going to be around, but being as I'll be away for two weeks and I won't be able to get any messages while I'm gone, there is a VERY good possibility I will be missing out on work because of this. Especially since it seems they have to wipe out any voicemails to set up a new box once the issue is fixed.
