Voicemail service not available
Phone: HTC A9
When accessing voicemail I get the "Service Not Available" message. It has been this way for the last 5 days ...
This is the first time this has happened in the last 4 years.
Thank you ...

@WAKKAWAKKA im in the same boat as you and everyone else in the thread even though im tagged as an employee doesn't mean im not frustrated as well i was a contributor in these forums for 4 years before i was employed by at&t and can not represent at&t in any way shape or form, ive chosen not to say anything on this topic until there was a glimmer of a fix this morning due to the backlash i get for being an employee. ive no inside information or any special secret numbers and any news i get is from posts on the forum .

I am in Charlotte, NC and have not been able to access my voice mail for 3 weeks now. My mailbox is completely full and I am getting the same message.... "Enter your password" (dead air for a minute) then "Service not available". I've been told it is a widespread problem that AT&T is having. I have not been giving an ETA on when the problem would be fixed. I don't think AT&T knows how to fix the problem and keeps giving their customers the "run around". Someone posted that they downloaded a voicemail app to use instead. Great idea.. I think I will have to look into that.

10-16-19 3:50pm Still getting service not available and still getting from all AT&T reps that it is a server problem and they cannot give a time when it will be fixed. FYI...….if you complain enough and get to the right department, they will give you a $25 "courtesy credit". So maybe if enough people ask for the courtesy credit, AT&T will finally fix the problem. It's pretty incredible that a company this large cannot fix this problem in, what is it, 3 weeks?!! If you are in Ohio, we should be filing a complaint with the PUCO. Other states probably also have public utilities commissions where you can file a complaint. Hoping enough people file complaints and ask for the courtesy credit!!

For all who have recently asked, there is NO ETA/ETR on this issue. This was the information I was given from Louis Egashira - AT&T Office of the President. If you want to contact him, you can find him on LinkedIn.

Customer service is now an Oxymoron for AT&T.
If a customer can not rely on the company representatives for factual and timely information, then the company has proven to be untrustworthy.
If in the beginning of the service not available issue, customer service could have been honest and said
"We are aware of the outage in some areas and have a problem and we are working on the solution. At present our engineers haven't found the solution or something to that effect and then made public updates as to their progress, setbacks and or solutions." That I could deal with. But to ignore, promise pie in the sky, ask customers to useless tests when the issue was obviously on their end for 2 plus weeks has tarnished whatever their image was before this happened. I think they were listening to the PR/Marketing/Investment staff trying to keep their stock prices up or stable. I do believe their handling of this issue will prove to have a negative impact on their valuation in the market place.
It's sad to live in a time where you can't trust what you are told from so many sources. RIP AT&T

All - Voicemail service for my two lines affected here in SC has been restored. I filed my complaint with FCC yesterday at around 10 am. Today, at 6 pm my voicemail is fixed.
Which proves, AT&T CAN resolve this issue. I guess the "squeaky wheel" proverb worked for me.

post 325----don't believe for a second that your filing had anything to do with service restored....it is happening sporadically and you got lucky.....ATT is not listening to/acting directly on your complaint but I could be wrong (NOT!)

I'm having the same problem. I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 and I live in Indiana. It's been doing that since yesterday the 15th.
