Voicemail service not available

Phone:  HTC A9

When accessing voicemail I get the "Service Not Available" message.  It has been this way for the last 5 days ...

This is the first time this has happened in the last 4 years.

Thank you ...

Hello @Marcia3,

We can definitely take a closer look into this issue that you're experiencing with your voicemail. We'll be sending you a private message to request account information shortly.

I was told that this is only affecting android devices and not iPhones is this true can some one validate this? A whopping 25 credit is not sufficient when you use you phone for personal and Business and constantly missing voicemails.I asked if a mass text would be sent out to notify customers that vmail service had been restore and no answer.

Thanks

IT WOULD REALLY HELP IF THE ONES IN TECHNICAL SUPPORT OR JUST ANYONE WITH ATT KNEW THAT THERE WAS A PROBLEM!!!

I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET A NEW VOICEMAIL BOX SET UP FOR THE LAST 2 HOURS AND NO ONE KNOWS HOW TO DO IT!!

WE HAVE TO GO OVER ALL THE PROTOCOLS AGAIN AND AGAIN FIRST!! THIS IS RIDICULOUS!!

PLEASE JUST GET SOME ONE THAT KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING!!  I HAVE BEEN WITH ATT FOR OVER 20 YEARS ALSO!!!

Voice Mail not working

My voicemail (not visual) is not working. I got a voicemail notification, tried to check it. Call goes through I enter my password, then it states: the service you have requested is not available. What is the problem? I have already tried restarting my phone, does not work..

REALLLLYYY?   Did you not see any of the 140+ posts on this thread???   This sounds fake, like it was planted by AT&T wizards so they could give a (useless) placating response (post #148)......

OK so i just called and asked for $25 credit they said it would only be a $20 credit and he said he fixed my voicemail box.  So i have to wait 10 15 mins

I will let you know if it worked.

I've been waiting a couple of days because I assumed it was a minor glitch that would reset. That was 4 days ago. For the first day, I just assumed I had forgotten my password.

At the least, a text message or email stating that there were known issues should have been sent, then I wouldn't have gone through the hassle of changing passwords etc.

The lack of communication is just astounding. The representatives on Chat pretend not to know about the issue, state that it has been escalated (really, my call made all the difference, huh?)  then eventually try and placate with ' it will be resolved in 48 hours'. After pressing a little, I was offered a $20 credit, but when the rep tried to apply the credit, she did not have authority for more than $17... how bad is this company that it has come to this?

Ok, Youmail installed, just tested it out. Converts to text almost instantly. I'm lucky because I don't think there are any important messages in my mailbox. It won't get your old messages back but at least it is a good start until the issue is fixed.

that's nothing.....here's how bad.......my first call to try and see what was going on resulted in my phone being 'killed'....they (someone in a foreign call center....not kidding) did not know of an issue, said they would try something and call back.....when noone called, I discovered I could no longer MAKE or RECEIVE calls....had to use friend's phone to call tech, they said I had to get new password and since I was in a position at the time where I could not access email, my only option was to go to a store (WHY?)....went to a store....they said no, had to go to a 'corporate store'.....went to a corporate store (sorry this is long story).....they said I had to replace SIM card.....then they could not get it activated and so on and so on.......finally later (3 HRS) called (on friend's phone) and at last got activated to get phone service back.....a week and a half of calls and being on hold and mis-transferred and then FINALLY find out is is a 'vendor server isssue' to be fixed in a half day or a day.....that was 4 days ago.................now 2 wks later and just having all kinds of fun on this thread!!! (not that I have the time for this sh.....)
