Visual Voicemail

I am using AT&T service on a Blackberry Priv.  Visual Voicemail has been working perfectly and now suddenly won't play messages, showing the following when the Play button is pressed. "Could not play message. Please try again later or call voicemail."

I have cleared the cache and restarted my phone several times with no success.  Any ideas?

Thanks - MST

Hello, @MST,

Thank you for reaching out. Press 1 to access your voicemail by directly calling in. Let us know if you can't play it.

Check Apps to see if Visual Voicemail needs to be updated on your Blackberry. Which software version is it running? Please let us know.

You must be connected to the cellular network to download and play visual voicemail. If you are using Wi-Fi calling or only connected to Wi-Fi you will have to connect to cellular in order to get access

I'm having a problem with visual voicemail as well. I just activated a Samsung Galaxy 9, went through the setup process and visual voicemail does not work. I've searched the internet and looked at videos and from what I can tell, it came preinstalled and should be working. Sure, I can access voicemail the regular way but visual voicemail is supposed to be part of the plan I pay for and I would like for it to work.

Can you go into more detail?

If you are looking for voicemail transcription, that is no longer available on AT&T.

AT&T visual voicemail is built into phones in the phone app.  If you are upgrading from a much older phone visual voicemail was a separate application, which no longer works on new phones

AT&T VVM  downloads the voicemail onto your phone and you can see the list of voice mails and play them in any order.

It Will look similar to photo.

Thanks for the input so far. Still no go on playing a message through visual voicemail.  I can listen to them by pressing 1 to access regular voicemail.  I have cleared cache and also made sure the Visual Voicemail app is updated.  Messages do come through, show up in the message pane, and even show the written transcript with each message.  But when I press the play button, I get the message "Could not play message..."  As an added annoyance, this means that the New Message icon and light remain on because the voicemail has not yet been played.  This all worked perfectly a week ago, but no longer.  Still looking for ideas.  Thanks. @MST

I'm wondering if AT&T is phasing out the visual voicemail app, or your phone is now too old to use it.

Have you called AT&T or been on the BlackBerry forums to find out if the passport is still compatible?
