Visual Voice Mail Not working

I get this message when trying to set up my visual voice mail:

Looks like there's a problem with my mailbox or my data plan does not include visual Voice Mail.

Please Help! I have dealing with this for about 3 weeks now ...

Hey there, @IBUNTING! We’re here to get to the bottom of why you are being notified on your phone that your Visual Voicemail has stopped working.


First, we want to know more about your experience.

  • What is the make and model of your device and is the signal strength poor or strong? As explained at Troubleshoot your voicemail your phone needs a wireless connection to receive calls, access voicemail, download Visual Voicemail messages, and get voicemail notification alerts.
    • If this has always been your experience with this feature on your phone, make sure to check the network coverage in your area. Network trends such as dropped calls, failed call attempts, and poor call quality can occur for a number of reasons, including but not limited to:
      • Gaps in network coverage.
      • A geographic obstruction, such as a mountain.
      • A type of building construction.
  • Has there been any recent changes to your account? To use Visual Voicemail you will need a smartphone and a data plan that includes Visual Voicemail (included on most wireless and PREPAID smartphone data plans).
