Unsupported sync services on Samsung Galaxy devices

AT&T stopped supporting Advanced Text Messaging in December of 2017 to select tablet and other devices. Unfortunately, I have a Samsung Galaxy S8+, a Samsung Chromebook Pro and a Samsung Laptop 9 Pro to sync my messages, notes and photos via the Windows & Samsung Apps from my Galaxy to my other devices. Apparently AT&T stopped supporting these communications as well, based on my research.

In reality, we are paying AT&T for full services that are no longer supported on their network. They even block WiFi calling on 'unsupported' unlocked devices. Why are we all paying full price for services that are not supported by the carrier even if they sell the products in the stores / online / 3rd party retail stores (Best Buy, etc)?

Unless you have an iPhone. Then you have full support on all of these services, including the unlocked version.
