Unlocking the phone (sold by the main owner (bought by at least 3 people (I am the last owner))

I want to know about unlocking. I bought a used phone, and it turned out to be blocked by this operator for other mobile operators. Once I managed to start applying for unlocking, but then it said that something was unpaid or something from the list of required things was not fulfilled. I live in a country where this operator is not supported (I am at least the 3rd user of this phone). Are there any exceptions to the rule? I can't create/log in to a profile on the At&t website to check this phone or find out anything about it. I can provide more information if needed

Nope. If the phone was sold with an unpaid balance on it then only the original owner can correct that. AT&T can’t. Once the phone is blacklisted it won’t be able to used on any network. This is a common scam. Get your money back.

This is correct ⬆️⬆️⬆️

AT&T will be very polite, but they will tell you that they won't be able to help you. If the phone isn't paid off they absolutely will not unlock it

They have absolutely every right to not unlock a phone that has not been paid for

Unfortunately, I won't get my money back, because it's a second-hand device. Too bad, but can At&t somehow influence the owner or what? Or is there nothing you can do about it?

There is nothing you can do to get it unlocked.  AT&T isn’t going to even contact the original owner, much less try to influence them.

Hi @shkiper428, we understand how important is to get the device unlock.

Thank you for the relevant information @ace.

AT&T can unlock the devices that are purchased from AT&T. Please ask the original account holder to contact us for account related information and unlocking the device.

Hope the above info helps.
