Good afternoon @King31,

I’m sorry to hear you’ve been locked out of your device! I am quite forgetful myself, so I’ve done this on multiple occasions. I’m glad you came to the Forums to look for a resolution to this issue. I should have done it myself! I’d be more than happy to help out.

There are a few ways to unlock your device remotely, depending on the make and model of your phone. If it is a Samsung, and you had a Samsung account logged in on the phone, you can visit, log in and attempt to unlock it. Another cool option is Google’s Android Device Manager.

If you try out both and are unable to get back into your phone, you will need to complete a master reset. I know those words can be a little scary, but you don’t have to worry. Many devices are set to back up automatically, so if yours was set to do this, you can restore from your most recent back up.

Since you cannot access your Settings, you will need to complete an alternate master reset. Our Device Support Center has some great step-by-step instructions on this method. Be sure the make and model on the page matches your phone, then visit the Tutorials tab >Troubleshooting > Reset Device to get started.

I really hope you found this informative, and you’re able to regain access to your phone! Have an awesome rest of your day!
