In order to do so, you'll need to begin the process by submitting an unlock request. You can also check the status of your unlock after you've submitted it as well. Furthermore, there are certain requirements that need to be fulfilled in order to unlock your device. Be sure to check them to ensure your device is eligible to be unlocked. Are all devices "locked" on ATT? Am I wasting my time trying to unlock a device that may not even be locked in the first place? I am leaving AT&T after 19 years. Taking 3 lines with me. Hubby and I are getting new phones so I don't need to unlock ours. My niece's phone (3rd line) is going with her to our new carrier. Tried to unlock her device through proper on-line steps and was denied...I do not have a clue what to do. Called ATT customer service three times so far and cannot even get through to a real agent.
