Unlock Request Denied

Respected Sir,

I bought a used Moto X - XT1058 in my country (Pakistan) about 2 months back.

The device was network locked.

I'm a Non-AT&T Mobility Customer and outside US.

I requested unlock code but was denied because:

  • Your device is currently active on another AT&T customer’s account.

I checked the device thoroughly and verified its IMEI etc to ensure it wasn't a stolen device. But I'm still not getting an Unlock code.

How can I unlock it? Any help would be appreciated.

@ATTMobilityCare

Thanks you.

Computers are easily confused.

When you requested the unlock, did you do so as a customer, and enter your phone number?  Unless you purchased the Note 4 at full price, it and your line still have a financial obligation for the Note 4.

Apply for the unlock as a non customer.  .   If you still have trouble (the portal is very buggy) then call ATT and ask for help.

Why does it take so long to get the phone unlocked? Is there something I'm missing where it takes a multi-billion dollar company a full day to get a phone unlocked? You claim to be a leader in the industry yet tmobile can unlock a phone through an app in less than 10 seconds..... called customer service and the response I get after a week of waiting is wait 24 more hours and it should work. Main word being "should"

How do you apply for an unlock code as a non-customer?

I paid the full price when i bought the phone thinking it was unlocked, i didnt even get the AT and T carrier when i bought it and also used another carrier already in the US. However when i tried using an international sim outside the US  it says that its locked. I sent in a request to unlock the device however when i checked the status today it said its been denied because the IMEI does not match a device thats compatible with the AT and T network. I double checked the number and everything and what i had put in seems to be correct. Any answers to why its being denied?

 I've been a client of ATT for about 4 - 5 years , I've doing the request to unlock my device 5 times 4 has been denied ... I hope this time this message get to the right hands because Im tired of all this.

I match all the requeriments to unlock my device but its funny for the person who check my request to cancel with no valid reason ..... I have this device almost a year I've have continued service with out interruption for more than 4 years ....

ATT has to fullfill what it put in the website DON'T LIE TO THE CLIENTS

Greetings. Could you please help me unlock my phone. I tried to unlock it via the "Device unlock portal" but got refused
"We can not unlock this device because it has not been activated for at least six months.
You can submit a new request after six months of paid service. "
I got the iphone 4 phone as a gift, now I'm not in the US territory, what actions should I take to unlock my phone?
Thank you.

Hello I purchased a brand new at&t prepaid phone from Walgreens and I wanted to unlock it but my request was denied because it's never been activated but I never thought a brand new phone would have this issue is there anything I can do?

@aristo93

You have to use it for 6 months on ATT before they will unlock it..  The info is on the package.

@aristo93   It means you have to use At&t prepaid for 6 months.  Only then will At&t unlock the phone.

So even if I purchased an unlock code or app there is no way to get around
that? I purchased it brand new yes. My last phone service had At&t towers
my new one is TMobile I found out.
Thanks for your help

I know. I thought my service was at&t towers but turns out it's TMobile. So
I was just wondering if there was anyway at all I could get around that.
Maybe with purchasing an unlock code or will that still not work? Thanks
for the help. I just threw the box away so I can't return it!
