Unlock old Galaxy Note 4

Submitted a request for an unlock code.  I received the approval and the code, but the Unlock is not successful.

Is it possible to unlock a Galaxy Note 4?  I have tried before unsuccessfully.

How can I tell if the phone has been permanently locked to the ATT network?

Hey @Janorman,

Thank you for posting in our Community Forum. I’m glad you got the approval for the device unlock! I will be happy to assist you with completing the unlock process.

It is possible to unlock the Samsung Galaxy Note 4; you can find the directions at this link. The device will become permanently locked to the AT&T network after 5 unsuccessful attempts.

  • For the Note 4 you start by powering off the phone.
  • Remove the battery.
  • Insert non-AT&T SIM card.
  • Re-insert the battery and power the device on with the non-AT&T SIM.
  • The device says Enter the Device Unlock Code.
  • Enter the unlock code.
  • Press okay.

I hope this helps!

I can't put in unlock code for sim on a Samsung note 4. I got the unlock code from at&t but the screen does not show up when I insert sim card. I get phone not allowed mm06#

What carrier sim are you using?
