Unlock Code wont work

Hello I asked for and revieved an unlock code for my samsung j7.  The code will not work.  What should i do?

Contact AT&T again.   

Unfortunately this may be on the manufacturer because I've seen many people with that model phone say that they're unlock code does not work.  Unlock codes are always provided by the manufacturer and there was only one unlock code for each IMEI

We'll need some more details in order for us to better assist you:

  • Where did you get your unlock code from exactly?
  • Did you receive an approval email from AT&T after following the steps at this link to Submit a device unlock request?
  • Have you already made sure that you're following the correct Unlock instructions that we provided for you in that email, to complete the unlock process with the provided unlock code?
  • What specific steps are you following when you try to complete the unlock process with the unlock code?
  • How many times have you tried entering the unlock code, and what happens when you do so? (Keep in mind that five unsuccessful unlock attempts will permanently lock the device to the AT&T network)
  • Also, are you getting any error messages when you enter the unlock code?
