Transferring same phone number/account from Alcatel phone to Huawei phone

I recently purchased a Huawei phone, and I want to transfer the same phone number I'm currently using on my Alcatel phone over to my new phone. The problem is that the SIM card on my old Alcatel phone is incompatible with my new Huawei phone, so it's not as simple as merely switching out SIM cards. I really don't want to have to open a new account, since I have so many contacts. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
