Hello @Courtles,
I understand you need help to transfer your contacts. Great thinking! It is important to have your contacts and needed files available on your new device. We can help!
It isn’t mentioned which transfer app you are using, but we do have some great resources to better assist you with this transfer. First is the Samsung Smart Switch app. You are able to transfer files from an iPhone to an Android with ease! Our AT&T Mobile Transfer app is another great way to transfer files.
There are some self-service troubleshooting steps to try as well. Please feel free to visit our Troubleshoot & Resolve Tool. Here, you choose your Phone Manufacturer > then choose your Device > under Device/software issues, please choose Backup, sync, restore or transfer. Here, you can follow a troubleshooting flow to determine the best resolution for your device!
If you need further assistance, please feel free to contact us back. Have a great day!

Samsung Smart switch tool is a mobile transfer tool for transferring contacts between two phones.
But it is not suitable on every phone, maybe you can try MobiKin mobile transfer tool, it can support most of phones.

Agree. Samsung smart switch works between compatible OS.
Your new Samsung should have a mobile to mobile transfer app which will prompt you to select the phone transferring FROM, including an iPhone option.
