Todays updates destroyed my phone

My AT&T phone was forced to update today. after rebooting about 10 times, the phone overheated and shut off. I have not been able to turn it on since and it's been about 7 hours now. This phone is less than 2 months old. Does anybody have suggestions on how to boot my phone back on so I can uninstall the update?

Hey there @Babs721, we'd be glad to help with your device concerns and getting your device back working properly.

To better help, we'd like to confirm more information:

  • What's the make and model of your device?
  • Have you confirmed if you have insurance or warranty placed on the device, in case it'll need to be replaced?
  • Did you try putting your device on a charger for a few minutes to confirm if it'll power back on?

Feel free to reach back out and let us know so that we're able to better understand and help with your inquiries.

Thanks for reaching out to the AT&T Community!

Hi, thanks for the offer. However, I took it into an AT & T store and they confirmed that the phone had been destroyed and issued a replacement phone. I do plan on getting a non-AT & T phone so that I do not have to deal with another update that is so damaging.
