Texts appearing out of order

The last few days I've noticed that my text replies are out of order, appearing above what I was replying to, rather than below them. This seems to mostly occur with iPhone users (I have a Galaxy Note 4). I have tried resetting the time on my phone as I read that could be the problem, but no luck. Could this be a software update glitch? I would rather find a way to resolve the problem rather than have to install a 3rd party texting app. Thanks.

Most iPhone users have enabled the Apple iMessage feature.  One of the things that this feature does is that it sends all messages through an Apple server.  If the message is goign to another iPhone user, it sends the message using a data connection and not using SMS.  If the message is not, however, the Apple server then bridges to the cellular SMS network and sends the messages as coming from the original user's phone number.  This Apple server to cellular network gateway can cause delays in messages being sent, so could possibly show messages "out of order".

I just double checked and the issue occurs while texting other Galaxy users also. Doesn't seem to be a delay problem, as receving/sending is done in proper order, time wise. Even if I wait 5+ minutes to reply to someone's last text, the reply I send displays ABOVE their last text, rather than below it, in chronological order as it should be. It makes the conversation hard to follow whenever I need to look back on it. Not an impediment exactly,  just an annoyance and I can't seem to find this exact issue online with others.
