Text issue

So I can not respond to any opt in texts from Open Table or Emergency Fire Alert service. When I responded on these opt in service it always says "can not send tap to retry."

Let's look into your inability to reply to those opt-in text messages, @Nothappyfred!

We want to know more about your experience.

  • Are you able to send and receive text messages in general?
    • If so, are you able to reply to any other opt-in text services?
    • If not, what is the signal strength on your device?
  • What is the make and model of your device?
  • What happens when you tap to resend the message?

One additional step you can take is to power off the device completely then power it back on to clear the device's cache and reestablish connection to the network.

Let us know how this worked for you.

Non of that worked. I am able to receive any text. I am able to send any text except for opt in. It will prompt me to "tap to resend" but the message does not go through. This was particularly alarming since I was relying on an opt in for Napa county evacuation notification for current fires.

Yes I have powered down my cellphone. And I have good signal

Greetings @Nothappyfred,

We understand this must be frustrating for you. We're more than happy to take a closer look.

Just to quickly check;

~Do you have any spam filters in you device.

~Are those messages provisioned for a reply.

~What is the network signal strength in your area.

~Is your device operating on the updated software.

Please let us know so we can assist further.
