Sonim XP8 PIN problem
I purchased a used XP8 from my ex-employer. The person who had this phone has entered a PIN number that no one knows. I have tried the suggested method for forcing a factory reset, however, when I get to the "No Command" screen, pressing the power and volume up buttons do not do anything and the phone simply restarts and boots back up to the enter PIN screen. Am I missing something? We have tried different possible PIN numbers, and I am now down to 4 more failed attempts and the device will be wiped. I do not care about the information on the phone, as I want to factory reset it anyway. Will simply entering the wrong PIN till it wipes be the answer to my problems? I do not see where anyone else has asked this. I seriously doubt that I am the only one who has encoutered this.

Hello Kbessey, we're here to help you with your Sonim XP8.
In order to get past the lock screen, we would need to perform a factory data reset.
Note: The device will take a moment to reset.
Let us know if this helps you out.

I did this, and it is still requesting the previous password. No one knows what it is supposed to be.

Thank you for letting us know, @Kbessey.
On the XP8 you'll need to have your Gmail account password handy to get logged at 1-833-MY-SONIM (1-833-697-6646) or email them at support@sonimtech.com. This is the best option for assistance.
We hope you are able to get this sorted out! Thank you for reaching out to us on AT&T Community Forums!
