Hi there, ! Let's help find workarounds to help free up storage and stop the freezing of your AT&T Motivate 2!

Your device is available with 32GB of internal memory. You can purchase and add a MicroSD card up to 128GB. You may need to purchase a MicroSD card with more memory if you don't have the one with the most storage.

Learn how to troubleshoot apps by clearing the app cache, force stopping an app, checking for updates, removing an app, and reinstalling. You will find guided steps on how to perform these tips using our wireless support article.

There are multiple ways to reset your device if you are experiencing errors besides power cycling/restarting your device. First, you'll want to back up contacts, photos, and files.

  • Reset network settings:
    • Swipe down from the Notification bar with two fingers, then select the Settings icon>scroll to and select System>select Advanced>Reset options>Reset Wi-Fi, mobile & Bluetooth>RESET SETTINGS>select RESET SETTINGS again to confirm.
  • Perform a factory data reset:
    • Swipe down from the Notification bar with two fingers then select the Settings icon>scroll to and select System>select Advanced>Reset options>Erase all data (factory reset)>Erase all data>select Erase all data again to confirm.
  • Perform an alternate master reset:
    • With your device powered off, press and hold down the Volume up and Power/Lock buttons simultaneously until the screen lights up.

If your product is faulty under normal conditions of use and maintenance, in order to benefit from a warranty exchange, please contact the Returns Center at 1(800) 801-1101 for assistance. You can learn about warranty exclusions by viewing pages 214-216 in the User Guide.

You can also look into filing a mobile device protection claim with Asurion if your device is insured. You can reach their support team at 888.562.8662. They're available weekdays from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. ET and weekends from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. ET.
