The "keep screen on" from the play store does work. Be sure to turn it on in the upper right corner. Tablet shuts off when I close the case. Looks like this might be a good work around until AT&T, Android and/or ZTE; patches the patch.
Use "keep screen on" from the play store it works. renders shut down timer in display setting useless, but until and if AT7T solves the problem it's a good fix.

Look to the right of the screen lock line. Settings button.
However. I did this and it did not help. All this started after the last update. I may have to factory reset myself. This is so annoying.
