Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge-Security Notification from Knox

I have had my phone since May 26th. Since I have gotten the phone, I get a notification telling me there are unauthorized changes and I need to restart to undo them. I can restart, and the message goes away for a bit but comes back. I have factory reset 2 times already. Yesterday I took it to a DSC store and they reflashed it. Today I had an OTA update and now the message has returned. Anyone else having this issue?

I got mine around the same time, and have the exact same problem. I've noticed lots of posts about it, but have yet to see anyone say there's a definite fix for it

I had exact same issue with s6 edge white 32gb AT&T which I picked from Costco Chantilly on June 6 2105. First I learnt this notification was coming from "device security" settings which you can search for in settings. FYI - I am switching from verizon where I had exact same phone with no such issues except for poor verizon coverage and dead spots.

I resolved this issue by finally getting a new phone from Costco today June 8 2015. Here is list of things I tried which did NOT resolve the issue after talking multiple times to at&t customer service, samsung (they were nice and called back to see if last tweak fixed the issue), and KNOX: safe mode, reset, hard reset, encryption, no encryption, update security policy, turn on KN on and then off knox security, reflashing OS by Samsung at best buy store, remove few apps like clean mastwr, wtc. Nothing helped as after 30 to 60 minutes notification will come back. I finally got fed-up and just asked for replacement under buyers remorse

Hopefully these details will save someone wasting number of hours on this

When did Samsung go back to Knox over Lookout?

KNOX is made by Samsung.  They started using KNOX in their devices last year (2014) and haven't stopped since then.  Its not a anti-virus app like Lookout.  KNOX is a security solution aimed mostly at enterprise use, to ensure security of mobile devices on a company's network.

It also monitors for system changes, like root.

I ended up just going back and getting the regular S6. When I returned the phone, the person at the AT&T store said they had a ton a returns for the same reason. I have not had any issues with the regular S6 at this point. Plus it is so much easier to find screen protection and cases for!

@redpoint73

I've had a Samsung since 2013, with Knox on it, but never active. I guess I'll keep it that way. I'm still trying to sort out why I have pop ups from the play store on a daily basis.. 😕
