S5 constantly getting 'Check Battery Cover' message after 4.4.4 update
Ever since I was updated to 4.4.4 everytime I unlock my phone to use it after being idle for about 5 minutes I get the 'Check Battery Cover' pop-up message. I use to only get this message after I restarted my phone, but now I get it everytime.
Anyone else having this issue? Any way to turn this off? Extremely annoying.

Me too. This is a software update problem, in addition the battery is draining 6 times faster than it did previously. In an AT&T Help Chat, we saved everything, wiped out everything and then did a restore. Then i had to recover all my settings and work out bugs. This process has taken 9.5 hours of my time. And with NO Resolution. ... My cellular telephone worked well as a phone before this upgrade.

Clear cache? I've cleared cache for specific apps, but how to simply clear the phone's cache (if that's what was meant by jestep_97?

After my S5 update from AT&T I receive the Check Battery Cover message almost evertime I go to use my phone. After much debugging and troubelshooting, it came down to the SD card. If the phone unmounts and mounts the SD card it generates the message. For some reason the update does not like the 16GB SD I was using and constantly unmounts and remounts it. I tried reformatting but no luck. I placed in a 32GB Sandisk SD card and the issue went away. Thanks AT&T for not testing your updates for SD card compatibility and requiring me to go and purchase a new SD card!

I had that problem and I tried all the solutions that I found in several forums. I removed the SanDisk Micro-SD Card and the problem ended but, every time I inserted the card, the problen reappeared. Then, I read that a battery that had a "swollen appearance" was what caused the problem, according to one person. So, I replaced the "bloated" (original) battery, with one that I had bought as a back-up, and the message has not appeared since. And, by the way, the SanDisc Micro-SD Card was NOT the cause, as I was led to believe.

Same and many here.
First it freezes then blicks two horizental lines and turns black giving a vibration. Then it tries to turn on with samsung galaxy s5 logo on screen but vibrates and turns black, again tries to turn on with samsung galaxy s5 logo but vibrates but vibrates and turns black. Sometimes it turns on after 5-6 attempts and sometimes doesnot turn on at all and I need to remove the battery and then turns on. I tried factory reset but did not helped
