Reciving messages from future time stsmps and sudden loss of signal

Im not sure if this is related to solar activity or att issue but I have been getting messages time stamped from about 8/10 minutes in the future compared to actual current time. I also go from 5 bars to 0 to 3 to 0 in a matter of seconds without moving my phone

We want to make sure your text timestamps are correct, and that you have stable service @Gdbroid19.

Both of these issues can have multiple different root causes, so let's start with some troubleshootings steps that target fixing both the text timestamps and your signal at once:

  • Try power cycling or soft resetting your deviceThe timestamps may be caused by a glitch, and simple glitches can be treated by turning your device off and back on. Doing this will also refresh and improve your phone's connection to our network, meaning your service bars won't change over seconds.
  • Update your device's software, if it isn't already updated. An outdated software version can lead to bugs or peformance glitches, so it's highly recommended you updated your software to make sure you won't encounter display bugs like the timestamps, or service glitches.

We'd like some additional context about this as well, to accurately understand what's going on:

  • What is your device's make and model? Not only will this allow us to try more guided troubleshooting steps, but we'll be able to confirm the latest software version for you along with your device's eligbility on our network.
  • What is your ZIP code? This'll allow us to check if anything is going on in your area, which would cause the timestamps and connection issue you experienced.

Please keep us updated, with the troublershooting results and information to the above questions. We'll be able to look into this further within a DM if needed.

This is also happening to me.  I have a Samsung S10e.  I thought it was just iPhone to Android communication, but it did it the other day from my mom who also has a Samsung device.  The messages are anywhere from 4 to 11 minutes in the future.  I have power cycled, my software is up to date but it still continues.  It's annoying.

This is also happening on my s21 ultra for several days. One even came with *delay at the top of the message.

This happens to me sporadically, at least once per week. I've tried all of the suggested troubleshooting steps, and none have worked.

For posterity, My phone is a Galaxy S20 FE 5G and is up-to-date on all apps and OS.

My zip code is 15017.

It seems to happen more frequently when messages come from iPhone users.

It started happening right after an OS update, roughly three updates ago. Definitely this year (2023), but not sure exactly when or which update.
