Puk code is locked (Please contact customer service)

So, being the fool that I am, I was messing around with my security settings (Set up SIM card lock).

This happened:

For the PUK code, I used up all my tries to get it right.

Does this mean that I have to get my SIM replaced or is there a way I can fix it by myself?

Help me out, guys, I'm totally lost.

Unfortunately, you do need a new SIM. The old one is toast, even CS can't do anything with it. They'll give you a new one most likely for free at any corporate store.

Learn how to get the PIN Unlock Key (PUK) code to unlock your SIM card on your Wireless device or on your GoPhone device.

You can go to myATT. The puk can be found under unlock my device section. The puk can be sent to an active number in the account.

Same thing happened to me, messing around, my new iphon 6 plus would not connect to 'data services', so i messed around with the SIM and it ended up locking the phone!.. I contacted customer support and talked to VICKY RICE, what a god end, she walked me through the Process, gave me my PUK and everything is working fine!! THANKS VICKY!!

A PIN is a security code you choose yourself.

If you lock up your phone by entering incorrect PINs, your carrier can give you a Pin Unlock Key; a PUK is a number that only the carrier knows.

If you try to guess the PUK too many times, then your SIM self destructs and you need a new one.

So those of you suggesting the OP should get the PUK from AT&T - that is what he/she should have done, but it sounds like it is too late now.
