Picture and text delivered in same message
When I send a text with a picture, the person I'm sending it to receives them as separate messages. So if I have a comment about a specific picture, the person doesn't know which picture it goes with because each picture is received separate from the texts. (I hope I described that ok!)

Hello @ChemEColleen,
Thank you for choosing the AT&T Community Forums! I understand your pictures and texts are being received separately, and this is not how you sent them. No worries, we’ll definitely find a resolution on this for you.
I would recommend downloading a third-party messaging app to accomplish this. Based on my research, this feature has been removed from default messaging apps in newer phones. You may be able to send them if you turn advanced messaging off. To turn this off, open the messaging app then tap the menu button on the top right of the screen; select settings, and Advanced Messaging.
You can also try our Troubleshoot and Resolve Tool. It’s like having a tech support agent at your fingertips. All you have to do is choose your make and model device, then select Messaging under Service/network issues. After you’ve done this, follow the prompts to get your issue resolved.
I hope you found this useful! Have a wonderful rest of your day!

XL - go into the Play store and uninstall "Google Carrier Services". I know some people have it glowing reviews, but after uninstalling this app and then sending a picture, the recipient got it immediately. Hope this helps!
