Outcall notification not working

I know it is set up correctly. I have tried turning the outcall notification on and off and establishing a different schedule with no results.

I only use this phone for voicemail messages left and then outcall notification of the messages. Outcall notification means if a voicemail message is left, the programmed phone number should be called with a notification there is a voicemail message.
The outcall notification is set up correctly and turned on, but it is not functioning. No notification call is happening.

I would be interested to know if the device matters since outcall notification is set up through the voicemail.
It says brew mp version 1.0.4.470 under operating system.
It is an at&t z432.

Thanks for responding.
I have used the outcall notification successfully for years with this device. There was one other time when it didn't work with no apparent explanation for about a week when I switched it to a colleagues number. This time it has not worked for the past 3 weeks.

Greetings @Jcshb!

 

Try resolving your experience by resetting the device:

  1. From the home screen, press the Right Soft key.
  2. Select Settings, then press the Center Nav key.
  3. Scroll to and select Security Settings, then press the Center Nav key.
  4. Select Master Clear, then press the Center Nav key.
    Note: Performing a master clear will wipe all personal data from the device and restore it to factory settings. This process cannot be reversed.
  5. Enter the required password, then press the Center Nav key.
    Note: By default the lock code is '0000.'
  6. Press the Left Soft key to confirm.

Make sure Outcall Notification isn't accidentally disabled:

  1. Press and hold 1 to call into the voicemail system from your wireless phone:
    • For WHP users, just dial 1 from your connected home phone; do not press and hold the 1 key.
  2. If prompted, enter your voicemail password.
  3. From the main menu, press to change your personal options.
  4. Press 1 to turn notification on or off; follow the prompts.

Thank you. If everything checks out, then there is no reason for the feature to not be working properly. When it stopped working before when you switched to someone else's number; did it randomly start working again after a week? Also, you said you didn't make any changes like that this time around, correct?

The time it didn't work before, was when I switched it to a colleague's number for a week. When I switched it back to mine it started working again.

This time I had outcall turned off for almost two months due to the pandemic. When I turned it on a few weeks ago it hasn't worked since.

I have tried switching outcall notification off and on and erasing and replacing the "schedule."

It's really weird.

We are curious to know if you made any changes to your service plan recently. What type of voicemail are you currently using; Basic/Enhanced voicemail or Visual voicemail. Also, did you change the receiving device recently?
