ONE Ui UPDATE

I have a note 9 and I've checked the auto software update function( up to date ) and my software version is 8.1.0

When or how do I get the ONE Ui update for my phone?

My brother has the same phone on Verizon Wireless and he already has the update.  I've seen posts as early as march of 2019 on this topic and no one has any clear answers about when it will be released or if there is a push update available.

Then why is my phone still running on the old software?  I've tried the auto update, I've tried tethering to Samsung switch on my PC, and I've been in contact with samsung... no straight answers yet

Confusion ensues.....

Don't know. It seems to happen to some people based on past posts to this forum. AT&T did in fact release Pie to the entire 9 series line last March. Then, the 8 series the next month.

Somehow, not everyone got it. And, it seems that after a certain amount of time, it just will never come. But, that's just speculation on my part.

It might be worth it to search the net for how to use Odin and flash the firmware yourself. We can't directly discuss how to do it here, or the forum police will wipe the post, but it might be your only option. Especially if the system isn't seeing your phone as eligible for the update.

And Samsung is right. AT&T is in charge of updates. But AT&T CS reps will tell you - as a matter of reading from the script - they are waiting on Samsung. That's only true for upcoming updates, but they use that same excuse for past, already released updates.

To add to @joeldf

You can take it to a ubreakifix and they can flash it for you.  They are Samsung repair center now.
