Note Edge update failing after 3% at install

Not sure if anyone else has had the issue, but I've been trying to update my Note Edge. Update downloads fine, but as soon as it goes to install the update it will say failed and get up to 3% before rebooting. I have tried two times, and it's been the same each time. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi @erictheblue17, @Steeelersgirl84, and @NevadaNote!

Sorry to hear about the software update issues on the day of launch. Please try wiping your cache partition before attempting to install the update:

    -Turn the device off.

-Press and hold the following three buttons at the same time:

Volume Up key, Home key, and Power key

-When the phone vibrates, release the Power and Home key but continue to press and hold the Volume Up key. This step may take several seconds.

-When the Android System Recovery screen appears, release the Volume Up keys.

-Press the Volume Down key to highlight 'wipe cache partition.'

-Press the Power key to select.

-When the wipe cache partition is complete, 'Reboot system now' is highlighted.

-Press the Power key to restart the device.

Hope this helps!

Clearing the cache through Settings --> Storage ---> Cached Data in addition to clearing the cache through the Volume Up+Home Button+Power Button allowed it to successfully update. Thank you for your help!

Same here!  What's the deal?  Do I have to keep downloading it or is it saved on the device where I can just relaunch the install?

Thx

I had the same issue when the lollipop update came and had to go to a Samsung store to push it but by the next update I had found a solution. It was an installation glitch that occurred if you had any programs disabled. I went into app manager and enabled all disabled apps and the update occurred flawlessly then disabled the apps after update. The issue was resolved in later updates and did not occur with MM.
