not receiving phone calls on wifi

phone calls to me go straight to voicemail, ringing on the other end sometimes 3 times, then going to VM. I've called myself from my landline and hear the ring in my ear (landline) but phone is not ringing. I have to reboot every morning and call myself to see if my phone is working. I have an LG 40, which was an upgrade from LG 30 when I switched to AT&T. I have to make and receive phone calls on my cell with wifi as I have maybe 1 bar at the house. Just happened again, rebooted and still cant get calls. Just left myself a VM from my landline and dont get that either. I may have made a mistake in switching. T-Mobile was rude but at least our phones worked.
